School Vision Statement
Blacktown Boys High School is a progressive, forward looking and a challenging place of learning with a proud tradition extolling high standards and achieving exceptional academic outcomes. The school's focus is to provide a balanced and differentiated curriculum, offering a variety of programs leading students towards a RoSA (Record of School Achievement) and/or the New South Wales Higher School Certificate. Hand in hand with the academic performance of the students, the school is heavily committed towards the overall welbeing of the student and has put in place a number of programs to ensure the physical, cultural and mental wellbeing of all students is looked after.
The school's focus of academic excellence ensures core and elective courses are designed to accommodate a diverse group of learners. Highly trained teachers, Administrative and Support Staff are partners in the academic development of students and undertake regular Staff Professional Learning to ensure students experience the latest pedagogies and teaching methodologies. The school utilises the most up-to-date technology to support learning and is at the forefront in establishing partnerships with universities, colleges and CBD and local business. This ensures that students are exposed to innovative approaches to learning, problem solving and group and individual learning to prepare them for the challenges of the future.
