It is with great pride in our Class of 2021 that I report of our amazing HSC results. Last year I had the pleasure of stating that the results for our cohort of 2020 were the best the school had ever had. In 2020 the school managed 14 Band 6 results and 48 Band 5 results for a total cohort of 48 students.
The class of 2021 have smashed the ball out of the ballpark. Our results, despite Covid 19, were commanding, magnificent and made a statement. Blacktown Boys High School moved from a ranking of 272nd to 111th in the state. Shifting comfortably into the elite top 150 schools in NSW. Our cohort of 71 students were successful in achieving 43 Band 6 results, 104 Band 5 and 133 Band 4 results.
A large number of our students made the Premiers Merit list and one of our students made the All Rounders List. Our school also achieved decidedly with many ATAR scores in the high 90’s. Our highest ATAR was 98.6. Our students have chosen to enter various universities around the state and are looking at careers including Teaching, Finance, Engineering, Physiotherapy, Biotechnology, Law, Medicine, Economics and Actuary studies.
A magnificent outcome and a big congratulations to our boys and their families. This outcome highlights the fact that a student does not need to venture out of Blacktown Boys High School to attain commanding HSC results!
