The “Everest Program” - 'for students aspiring to greater heights' is Blacktown Boys High School's program that offers extension activities to high achieving and high potential students, in accordance with the Department of Education's HPGE Policy. Students will undertake differentiated learning that aims to extend and expand on their capabilities, skills and knowledge, so that their potential is attained in preparation for their life beyond school.
Students study topics including project design and management, Artificial Intelligence, and problem solving, developing the "6 C's" of 21st century skills of critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, civics and citizenship.
Students in Year 6 enrolling in Blacktown Boys High School will be able to apply once their enrolment has been completed. Applications will close at the end of Term 3. For students enrolled in Years 7, 8 and 9, they will be invited to apply as spaces become available in the program.
If your child is interested in applying for this program, details will be sent early in Term 3, 2024 to individial families, who have already been accepted/enrolled for 2025.
