National Science Week was celebrated throughout Week 4 of Term 3. It was a major hit! Science Teachers planned recess and lunch activities that allowed students to explore each branch of Science, and engage with various experiments. Monday students constructed a planetarium. Tuesday students completed Soda Straw Rockets and some rockets flew almost 2 meters! Wednesday the students competed in building the ‘Tallest Marshmallow Tower’ with only straws and marshmallows! Congratulations to Huseyin Gulle and Alexander Johnson from 7E on constructing the tallest tower. Thursday we had both a telescope demonstration and a Trivia quiz where students played in their Sport Houses. Congratulations Macquarie on winning the Trivia! Friday finished strong with a Science Exhibition in the Library and an Elephants Toothpaste Experiment in the Quad. Thank you to all the students who got involved in the events, and thank you to the Science teachers for organising the awesome activities. We look forward to making each year bigger and better!"
