Men's health day 2015

On November 12th 2015, Blacktown Boys' High School celebrated its inaugural Men's Health Day. The day was centred on the health and wellbeing of young men in our community. Men's health is an important issue in the 21st century and at Blacktown, it is imperative that our students understand their strengths and weaknesses for their own wellbeing.

The day featured many special guests, including:

  • Commando Steve
  • Western Sydney Wanderers coaching staff
  • Headspace, Mt Druitt
  • Western Area Adolescent Team (WAAT), Mt Druitt
  • White Ribbon Ambassador, Ross Dummett

All students and staff had an excellent day, promoting positive physical and mental health amongst young people.

A huge thank you and congratulations to Ms. Burne for organising the events. Another massive thank you must go to the staff of Blacktown Boys' High School for actively participating in the day. Lastly (but not least!), a tremendous thank you to our students, as the day would not have run smoothly without all of their positive involvement and enthusiasm.

Men's Health Day will return in 2016.
Stay tuned!
